    Once melted keep it aside and let it cool a bit and come near to room temperature.

    In a large mixing bowl take eggs and beat them with the help of an electric whisk.

    Now add some of the egg mixture to the chocolate mix that we melted earlier. Mix it gently without deflating the eggs. It will help to lighten up the chocolate mixture, so once we add it to the remaining eggs it will be easier to mix.

    Transfer the cake batter to the well greased tin and wrap the bottom with aluminium foil. Now place it in a big roasting tray. Fill the tray with the boiling water making sure it is not more than half of the height of cake tin.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 160 degrees for 45-50 minutes or unlit a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean. Once done take the cake tin out of the oven and let it cool completely before removing from the cake tin.

    Dust with some icing sugar and decorate with some strawberry or anything you like.

Notes: 

  • Use the good quality chocolate to enhance the taste of your cake.
  • The bowl and tools you use to whip the eggs should be oil free. To make it sure you can wipe it with a tissue paper dipped in vinegar. If some traces of oil left there it may ruin your effort and you would wonder why my eggs are not whipping.
  • Baking time can vary depending on the size of your cake tin and your oven, so keep an eye on it.
  • Using water bath insures that the cake is cooking gently.
